Editorial policy
How we make money guides useful.
Cashup publishes educational answers to practical money questions. The goal is clarity and useful next steps, not volume, fear, or promises of financial success.
How topics are selected
We choose recurring questions people ask about budgeting, expense tracking, saving, and shared costs. A topic must have a clear practical purpose and fit Cashup’s focus on everyday money organisation.
Sources and review
We prefer primary and public-interest sources, including financial education material from the Reserve Bank of India and SEBI. Every guide names its sources and shows its review date. We distinguish flexible rules of thumb from requirements or guarantees.
Writing standards
Each guide answers the question near the top, explains terms in plain language, uses realistic examples, and includes limitations. We do not add filler to reach a word count or repeat keywords unnaturally.
Scope and corrections
The guides provide general education, not personalised financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Material is reviewed when underlying guidance changes. Substantive corrections update the review date.
